Eric T. Brokaw

Eric Thomas Brokaw, 44, of the Goshen area of New Philadelphia, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 4, 2024, at his home. Born November 5, 1979 in Dover, he was the son of Bruce Eugene and Robin Marie (Whitman) Brokaw of Goshen.

Eric was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Indian Valley High School. He was employed by Marlite in Dover and was a member of Goshen Community Church of the Nazarene. Eric was an avid fan of racing and had been a driver in many races at Midvale Speedway over the years.

On August 19, 2017, he married Andrea Sue (Leach) Brokaw who survives him. He is also survived by his sister, Heidi (Bill) Coffman; aunts, Vikki Whitman and Linda Myers; uncle, Shawn Whitman; niece and nephew, Rachel Tykle and Kevin Taylor; great nieces and nephew, Kai, Avery, and Zelda; step daughters, Angela (Rick Hall) Brooks, Jessica (Mike Phillips) Bishop, and Rachel (Chad) Hitchings; and step grandchildren, Easton, Ali, Arya, Wesley, and Everleigh. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Justin Thomas.

In keeping with Eric’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation or service. His family plan to celebrate his life privately.
