Emma Leigh Leishman

Emma Leigh Leishman, 39, of Seattle, Washington, formerly of Uhrichsville, passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. Born December 30, 1978 in Dover, she was the daughter of David L. (Karen) Leishman of Dover and Karen R. (Quillen) Leishman of Uhrichsville. Emma was a 1997 graduate of Claymont High School.

She had lived in Seattle for the past two years and had previously resided in other areas of the country, including Minnesota which she really enjoyed. She loved her work as a photographer and enjoyed crocheting in her spare time.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her longtime companion, Kurtis Nelson; many dear extended family members and friends; and her faithful canine companion, Bubba. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Lewis and Patsy Leishman and Ralph and Eleanor Quillen.

In keeping with Emma’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public service. She will be interred with her maternal grandparents in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
