Mother, you are in our hearts twice… once as a mom and again as a friend.
Eileen B. Willison, 83, of Uhrichsville, passed away May 14, 2009 following a sudden illness. Born October 10, 1925 at Tippecanoe, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Emanuel and Grace Elizabeth (Hines) Hodkinson. In addition to her parents, Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, John L. “Jack” Willison, Sr. whom she married on October 9, 1942, her son, John L. “Jack” Willison, Jr. and her brother, “Junior” Hodkinson. A life resident of our area, Eileen worshipped at Newport United Methodist Church.
Eileen devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Nothing meant more to Eileen than the time she spent with her family. In her spare time, Eileen enjoyed crocheting, tending her flower gardens, and cooking her specialty cakes. Those who met Eileen knew a giving, sweet, and charismatic soul who put her family ahead of herself. Her spirit lit the lives of her family, friends, and so many she knew. Her smile, laugh, and gentle wisdom will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.
