Edna Kay Gallion

Edna Kay Gallion, 70, of Uhrichsville, formerly of New Philadelphia, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. Born May 18, 1947 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Robert E. and Dorothy E. (Johnson) Rank.

A lifelong area resident, she was employed by Rae and Associates and Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home in New Philadelphia for many years as a bookkeeper. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Philadelphia.

Edna is survived by a son, Zachary D. Gallion and his wife, Kristen; grandchildren, Zoe and Cylis Gallion; sisters, Dottie (George) Preston and Linda (Virgil) Ebersbach; brother, Wesley (Brenda) Rank; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Doug Mallernee, is planned for 2 pm on Tuesday, June 6, in Fry’s Valley Moravian Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. SW, New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
