Eclipz Malyn Garabrandt, 8, of Dennison, O. was called to her home in Heaven, along with her sister, Viktorya, as the result of a tragic house fire on Saturday, January 8, 2011. Born September 3, 2002 in Dover, O., she was a daughter of Kevin Ray Garabrandt of Uhrichsville and Danielle Ralyn (Sippel) Dickey and her husband, Mark, of the home. Eclipz was a student at Park Elementary School in Dennison who loved playing softball, singing, going to church, getting good grades, and spending time with her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her stepsister and stepbrother, Katelyn and Matthew Dickey of the home; maternal grandmother, Tammie Maxwell and her husband, James, of Uhrichsville; maternal great grandmother, Patty Dryden and her companion, Butch, of Uhrichsville; paternal grandmother, Cindy Sommers and her husband, Cliff, of Dennison; paternal great grandparents, Sylvia and Kenneth Garabrandt of Uhrichsville; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandfather, Jerry Dryden, and maternal great great grandmother, Louise Sanner.

Services for Eclipz, officiated by Pastor Kermit Hall, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 13, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Those wishing to honor Eclipz’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Park Elementary’s Eclipz and Viktorya Memorial Fund.
