E. Louise Mccomb

E. Louise McComb, 82, of Port Washington, O., passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at Union Hospital in Dover, O. after a short illness.

Born May 27, 1928 in Harrison Co. near Dennison, O., she was a daughter of the late Emerson H. and Arietta Louise (Fisk) Stull.

Louise was the loving wife of Carl Kenneth McComb to whom she was wed on June 18, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 19, 1991. They are survived by five sons, Michael E. McComb and his wife, Sue, of New Philadelphia, Richard D. McComb and his wife, Gladys, of Port Washington, Terry A. McComb and his wife, Gail, of Newcomerstown, Charles R. McComb and his wife, Sue, of Gnadenhutten, and Steven C. McComb and his wife, Beverly, of Port Washington; fifteen grandchildren, Darren, Cody, Roman, Deidra, Dave, Shannon, Kelly, Stacey, Janet, Matthew, Emily, Alyssa, Abram, Desirae, and Jarrod; and 15 great grandchildren with another expected.

Louise is also survived by four brothers, Glenn E. Stull, Donald L. Stull and his wife, Addie, Franklin L. Stull, and Emerson H. “J.R.” Stull, Jr. all of Port Washington; two sisters, Mrs. Shirley Bartholow of Port Washington and Mrs. Richard (Marlene) Quillen of Newcomerstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Gayle McComb; a sister, Janet Seevers; a sister and brother-in-law, H. Lucille and John O. Meek; and a sister-in-law, Frances Stull.

Louise was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who loved caring for her home and her family. She also worked for Bates Metal for eighteen years and enjoyed cake decorating. She was Baptist by faith.

Services for Louise, officiated by Pastor Randy Stull, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 5, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in Port Washington’s Salem Union Cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from noon to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday. Those wishing to honor Louise’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Community Hospice (the former Hospice of Tuscarawas County).
