Dorothy L. Page

Dorothy L. Page, 71, of Uhrichsville, died Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison following a short illness. Born October 19, 1940 in Dennison, she was a daughter of Helen C. (Coverdale) Best of Tippecanoe and the late Ross Franklin Best.

On August 19, 1958, Dorothy married Richard D. Page, Sr. who survives her at their home. She is also survived by three sons, Richard D. Page, Jr., Ross Page and his wife, Sandra, and Ralph Page, all of Uhrichsville; a daughter, Christy Cox and her husband, Robert, of Tippecanoe; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Page of Dennison; many grand children and great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Romig and her husband, Harold, of Tippecanoe; brother, Bud Best and his wife, Sherry, of Uhrichsville; sister-in-law, Rose Best of Uhrichsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert F. Page; brothers, Jim and PeeWee Best; and a special aunt, Julia Frigley.

Dorothy was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker and caregiver. In her younger years, she had also worked for H.L. Green’s in Uhrichsville for a number of years. She enjoyed collecting dolls and was a passionate fan of Elvis Presley.

Services for Dorothy, officiated by Rev. Mark Unrue, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Rush Church Cemetery near Uhrichsville. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from noon until 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Community Hospice.
