Donny Lee Marsh, 65, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton after suffering a stroke. Born January 28, 1949 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Wayne Lowell and Pearl DeMonde (Wagstaff) Marsh.
  
  
  Donny was a Twin City resident for most of his life and a graduate of Claymont High School in the class of 1967 before attending The Ohio State University. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1972 to 1977 during which time he met the love of his life, Loretta J. (Giddens) Marsh, to whom he was wed on February 21, 1974. They enjoyed nearly 40 years of marriage together until her passing on July 24, 2013. Donny was a longtime employee of Superior Clay, having worked there for 33 years until his retirement in 2012. He was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church and the Uhrichsville Elks who will be remembered for his big heart, especially in his loving care for animals.
  
  
  Donny is survived by 2 children, James Dean (Dawn) Marsh of Uhrichsville and Christina Leean (fiancé, Jack) Marsh of the home; a daughter-in-law, Faye Marsh of Birmingham, Alabama; stepchildren, Barbara Jean Dixon of Ft. Collins, Colorado, Linda Marie Philips of Jacksonville, Florida, and Larry Timothy “Bo” Stephen of Windsor, Colorado; 15 grandchildren, Amber, Kalee, Miley, Ian, Lisa, Tiffany, Barbara, Caleb, James, Brett, Heather (fiancé, Damian), Jenna, Christian, Cody and Mikehla; great-grandchildren, Rarity, Desi and Robert, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Audra Bagwell of Canton to whom he was especially close. In addition to his parents, and wife, he is preceded in death by a son, Steven Mitchell Marsh.
  
  
  Services for Donny, officiated by Pastor David Naus, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, at the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Those wishing to honor his memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church.
