Diana Lynn Riffle, 73, of Dennison, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 28, 2022. Born December 18, 1948 in Buffalo, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Andrew Lestock and Burlena J. (Khune) Lestock Voorhees.
Diana grew up near Bell Valley in Noble County, Ohio and was a 1967 graduate of Caldwell High School. She retired from Kimble Co. in 2014 where she had been their receptionist and had previously worked as an administrative assistant at RCA Service Company for many years. She loved going to the YMCA, antiquing, gardening, and caring for animals – both her beloved cats and the many wild animals around her home.
On May 23, 1987, Diana married Denzil Junior Riffle who survives her at their home. She is also survived by her sons, Derek Ellinger and Damian (Dana) Riffle; grandchildren, Derek Ellinger, Jr. and Tara Ellinger; great-granddaughter, Evelyn Parker; sister, Barbara; and many nieces and nephews, including Mark (Missy) Ginn, Brian Ginn, Butch Ginn, and Boots (Ray) Henry with whom she was especially close. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Donna.
According to Diana’s wishes, cremation is planned. A celebration of her life will be held on a future date. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations honoring her memory may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
