Denver "Denny" E. Law

Denver Eugene “Denny” Law II, 58, of New Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 10, 2021, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident. Born April 14, 1963 in Dennison, he was a son of the late Denver Eugene “Doc” and Norma Ilene (Gray) Law.

Denny grew up in the Twin City area and was a 1982 graduate of Claymont High School and Buckeye Joint Vocational School. He was employed by Resources of America, A.R.E. Truck Caps, and finally Wayne Door. Denny loved riding his motorcycle, and also enjoyed fishing, golfing, going to his son’s tackle shop, and watching every sport imaginable, especially racing and football. He was always spontaneous and loved taking off on spur of the moment trips and weekend getaways. He will be remembered for his outgoing nature and ability to talk to anyone, anytime, about anything. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and took great joy from attending all of his grandchildren’s sporting events.

On December 9, 1999, Denny married the former Willow Marie Turner who survives him. He is also survived by his children, Denver (Kayla McPeek) Law III of Uhrichsville, Latisha (Matthew McCue) Bloom of Uhrichsville, Jessica (Jonathan) Sluka of Dennison, and Zachary Law of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Peyton, Haleigh, Kaleigh, Baleigh, Zaleigh, Connor, Kyah, Denver IV, Anastacia, Aryiona, Ayden, Preston, Breylan, Pierceson, and Kinkade, with another expected; great-granddaughter, Ophelia; his brother and best friend, Kenny (Tammy) Law; brother, Bobby Law; sister, Debbie Law; parents-in-law, Jim and Nancy Baltzly; grandparents-in-law, Gene and Ruby Duerr; his former spouse, Donna Patterson; many nieces and nephews, including Todd Law who was like a son to him; and a large network of extended family and friends.

Pastor Tommy Miller will officiate a 2:00 p.m. funeral service on Saturday, July 17, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will be in Deersville’s Patterson Union Cemetery on a later date. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Willow Law Fund at DoverPhila Federal Credit Union to help with her medical expenses for injuries sustained in the same accident.
