Delores L. "Dodie" Patterson

Delores L. “Dodie” Patterson, 79, of Uhrichsville, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 6, 2017. Born August 10, 1937 in Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of the late Edna H. (Losey) Parks and was raised by her loving grandparents, Clarence and Stella Losey, who also preceded her in death. A lifelong resident of the area, Delores was a 1956 graduate of Uhrichsville High School and had been a librarian at Claymont Public Library for over 15 years.

Delores was married to the late Robert E. Patterson with whom she had three children, Robert W. Patterson of the home, Karen S. (Patterson) Walk -- now deceased, and James E. Patterson. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Katelyn Walk; sister, Donna Jean Moseley; and dear friends and caregivers, Derek Riggs and Jordan Miller. Dodie also loved her dear canine companion, Toby. In addition to her parents, husband and daughter, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Losey.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation is planned without a visitation. A graveside service, officiated by Minister Tim Hatfield, will be held at 2pm on Friday, August 11, in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice.
