Dee enjoyed a varied nursing career across the area, working at Twin City Hospital, serving as a nursing instructor at Kent State University Tuscarawas, working at Nightingale Nursing Home, and serving as a public health nurse for the Tuscarawas County Health Department.
Her life was guided by her faith as a devoted member of the Uhrichsville First Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for many years and served in various other capacities. On several occasions, she and her husband performed folk songs together for the Elks musical shows held at the Uhrichsville High School auditorium, with Delores accompanying on guitar.
