Debbie grew up in the Twin City area and was a graduate of Claymont High School. She loved cheering for the Cleveland Indians, doing needlework – especially crocheting and embroidery, and collecting anything and everything to do with unicorns. Debbie also enjoyed the time that she spent playing cards and Bingo with her friends at the Uhrichsville Moose.
She leaves behind her sister, Rose A. Garbrandt; sister-in-law, Tina Bartholomew; brother-in-law, Sam Caldwell; nieces and nephews, Ashley (Andrew) Johnson, Stephanie Caldwell, Chad (companion, Danara Lamonica) Caldwell, Matt (companion, Melissa Everett) Bartholomew, Julie (Wes) Hurless, Ben Adkins, and Michelle (Nate) Maxheimer; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, John Bartholomew and Laura Caldwell.
In death, Debbie gave the gift of sight by being a donor through Lifebanc and knowing that she was helping someone to be able to see would have given her so much joy! A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026 at Union Cemetery in Uhrichsville where she will be interred with her parents. A reception in celebration of her life will follow in the Community Room at the Buckeye House, 201 E. 3rd St., Uhrichsville, Ohio. Those who attend are encouraged to dress casually, especially if they have anything with unicorns or Cleveland Indians logos to honor Debbie’s love for both.
