Deanna Kay Rainsberg

Deanna Kay Rainsberg, 73, of Dennison, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at The Cleveland Clinic following a brief illness. Born October 17, 1938 in Dennison, she was the daughter of the late Waldama and Thelma Irene (Copeland) Bente.

On November 2, 1958, Deanna married Ralph Edward Rainsberg, enjoying nearly forty-years of marriage until his passing on July 7, 1998. They were blessed with five children, Pamela Sue (Jack) Brindley of Dennison, Christine Kay Rainsberg of Madison, OH, Matthew (Kayce) Rainsberg of Clayton, CA, Michele Lyn (Alan) Patterson of Uhrichsville and Doug Rainsberg who preceded them in death; six grandchildren, Jessica (John) Matronia, Joshua (Michelle) Zeno, Jilian, Luke and Logan Patterson, and Ruby Rainsberg; and four great-grandchildren, Maci, Madelyn and Malina Meese, and Mason Matronia. Deanna is also survived by a brother, Gary (Jane) Bente of Anderson, SC; a sister-in-law, Patricia Bente of Dennison; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband and son, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis E. and C. Richard “Dick” Bente.

Deanna was a lifelong resident of Dennison and a graduate of Dennison High School in 1956. She loved planning and attending her class reunions, even meeting with a number of her dearest classmates on a monthly basis. She was a longtime member of Park Christian Church in Dennison who loved to read in her spare time. She also loved visiting with friends and neighbors who would stop by while she was out enjoying time on her sun porch. Her greatest joy came from the time that she spent with her family, as they were always the main focus of her life. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who simply lit up with happiness whenever she was around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services for Deanna, officiated by the Rev. Dr. Larry Miracle, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 4, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 3. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association.
