David W. Beatty, Sr.

David W. Beatty, Sr., 44 of Uhrichsville, O., has gone on to heaven after a long battle. He left this life on October 25, 2009 from Twin City Hospital in Dennison, O.

Born November 25, 1964 in Norwalk, O., he was a son of Ronald Dean Beatty, Sr. of Millersburg, O. and the late Shirley Jean (Striker) Beatty.

A resident of the Twin City area for most of his life, David had worked in the oil fields as a driller. He loved spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids and family, and also loved to cook.

On May 26, 1984, he married the former Diana L. Wharton with whom he celebrated twenty-five years of marriage this past spring. He is also survived by five children, Jessica L. Beatty and her companion, Ollie H. “Christopher” Patterson, IV, Nikole P. Beatty and her companion, Matthew E. Henry, David W. Beatty, Jr., Christina M. Beatty, and Mike Cox, all of Uhrichsville; three grandchildren, Kameron M. Henry, Patrick N. Henry and Alexia D. Patterson; and an expected granddaughter, Makenzi N. Henry.

David is also survived by nine siblings, Ronald D. Beatty, Jr. and his companion, Valerie, Theresa D. Beatty, Charles A. Beatty and his companion, Tammy, Samuel R. Beatty, Sr., Mrs. Dave (Shirley M.) Jordan, Timothy A. Beatty and his wife, Glenda, Cara L. Beatty and her companion, Sal, Jennifer Beatty, and Diana Beatty, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A funeral service for David, officiated by Evangelist Lisa Meese from Preach the Word Ministries, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, as well as for an hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday. Memorial donations may be made to his family in care of the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home to help defray the cost of his final expenses.
