David Lee Andreatta, 77, of New Philadelphia, Ohio passed away August 28, 2025 after a 7-year battle with pancreatic cancer. Born June 27, 1948, he was a son of the late Leno Louis and Grace Irene (Kerschbaumer) Andreatta.
Dave was a member of the first graduating class of Claymont High School. He earned his Bachelor Degree from Ohio University before serving his country in the U.S. Army. While stationed in Turkey, he earned his master’s degree from the University of Arkansas.
In 1975, Dave started working at the Dover-Phila Federal Credit Union as President/CEO and remained in that position until his retirement in 2013. He was instrumental in growing the credit union from three employees in a small, rented office building to its five present locations.
A longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in New Philadelphia, Dave had served as an Eucharistic Minister and greeter. He was a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals and had his own tax preparation business from 1975 until 2018. He was a member of the Tusco Rifle Club and a lifetime member of the NRA.
On April 23, 1977 Dave married the former Patricia Doney who survives him along with their sons, Dr. Brock Andreatta (Dr. John Frederick Hudson) and Dr. Drew Andreatta, his brother Dr. Dale Andreatta, his Uncle Gene Andreatta and many cousins.
A graveside service was held at Calvary Cemetery in New Philadelphia where he was interred beside his parents.
