Darlene M. Lillie, 67, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Monday, December 8, 2014 at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia, after a brief illness following surgery. Born November 11, 1947 in Salem Twp., near Newcomerstown, she was a daughter of the late Herbert George and Nellie Marie (Burdette) Williams.

Darlene was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1965 graduate of Uhrichsville High School. On June 16, 1967, she married Harold W. Lillie who survives her at their home. She is also survived by her children: Harold W. “Charlie” (companion, Marcella Hankins) Lillie, Jr. of Uhrichsville, Kimberly Voshall of Dennison, and Kevin Lillie of Uhrichsville; grandchildren: Cruz (Ashley) Carpenter, Nikkea (Shaun) Cartwright, Miranda Fox, Kevin Lillie Jr., Ashley Lillie, Gavin Lillie, Devin Lillie, Charlie Lillie, Craig Lillie and Chawna Lillie; great-grandchildren: Camron, Aubrey, Kadience, Bryson, and Carson; sister, Patricia (Francis) Wilson of New Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Lillie. Darlene will be deeply missed by her family whom she loved so dearly. She especially treasured the time that she spent with her grandchildren.

Services for Darlene, officiated by Pastor Michael C. Travis, will be held at 6pm on Thursday, December 11, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will be in Fry’s Valley Cemetery with her parents. Visitation will be 4pm to 6pm on Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
