Danielle R. Dickey

July 30, 1984 — August 30, 2025

Danielle Ralyn Dickey, 41, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, was called to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, August 30, 2025, from her home while surrounded by her family. She had bravely battled cancer for over six years, even as she continued to care for her family whom she loved so dearly. Danielle was born July 30, 1984 in Dover, Ohio, a daughter of Tammie L. (née, Henry) Maxwell and the late Lonnie R. Sippel.

In 2001, Danielle was a member of the first Claymont High School class to graduate from the new high school, before attending college. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and foster mother, she spent over 16 years working for Claymont Public Schools, first in the cafeteria and later as a bus driver for many years – a job that she loved and continued to do until her health prevented her.

On July 18, 2009, Danielle married Mark R. Dickey who survives her at their home. She is also survived by her mother and stepfather, Tammie and James Maxwell; grandmother, Patty Dryden; son, Matthew Ervin; daughters, Katelyn (Travis) Cooper, Memory Dickey and Alessa Dickey; grandchildren, Elliot and Bjorn Cooper; foster children, Rosie, Shirley, Danielle, Frankie, Edwin, and Mark Raymunda; siblings, Scott (Julie) Treherne, Ashley (companion, Bob Pederson) Sippel, and Cory Maxwell; a large extended family including numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her best friend, Angel (Matt) Groah and their children, Rachelle, Rylee, and Logan.

Danielle had many loved ones to welcome her to heaven, having suffered the crushing loss of her daughters, Viktorya Willett and Eclipz Garabrandt in 2011, and later her foster daughter, Calista Lynch. She was also preceded in death by her father, Lonnie Sippel, and her grandfather, Jerry Dryden.

She was a woman of deep faith who loved to read her Bible and then lived out the teachings of Jesus as she was a special blessing to the many children to whom she and Mark opened their home and their hearts as foster parents. She truly delighted in the time that she spent with all of her family. A former member of the Christian Lighthouse in New Philadelphia, she had most recently been a member of House of Mercy in Tippecanoe.

Pastor Jon Kinsey and Pastor Kermit Hall will officiate an 11:00 a.m. funeral on Friday, September 5, at the Christian Lighthouse Church, 260 21st St. S.E., New Philadelphia, Ohio. Interment will follow beside her beloved daughters in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Her family will receive callers on Thursday, September 4, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Ohio’s Hospice Foundation, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH  44663, in lieu of flowers.
