Daniel Dean “Danny” Fawcett, 60, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, died at his home on Saturday, May 26, 2012, along with his wife of over twenty years, the former Rena J. McPeek. A son of the late Harold Eugene “Dean” and Norma Jean (Morrison) Fawcett, he was born March 14, 1952 in Dennison, Ohio.
A graduate of Indian Valley South High School in the class of 1970, Danny was a resident of the area for much of his life with the exception of seven years living in Texas. After working on drilling rigs in Texas and locally for fourteen years, Danny became an over the road truck driver, driving for Baker Hi-Way Express for many years.
Danny is survived by two sons, Benjamin Casebeer of New Philadelphia and Tracey (Danielle) Kadri of Rushville, Indiana; two grandchildren, Kloey and Blane Kadri of Rushville; a sister, Trina J. Hooper of Tuscarawas; a brother, Craig E. Fawcett of New Philadelphia; and nieces, Chantal (Keith) Gram and Rachelle (Tony) Lynch. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Roger Dean Hindman.
His family will receive callers for a time of shared memories on Friday, June 1, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of Gnadenhutten Moravian Church. He will be interred at a later time with his parents in Gnadenhutten’s Clay-Union Cemetery.
