Crystal Lynn Smith

Crystal Lynn Smith, 55, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Ohio’s Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, Ohio, after a bravely fought battle with cancer. Born November 3, 1970 in Dennison, Ohio she was the daughter of David Melvin Burdette of Uhrichsville and the late Sandra Jean (Bloom) Burdette who preceded her in death on May 5, 2017.

Crystal was a lifelong area resident who was a 1988 graduate of Claymont High School. She did her training to earn her STNA at Park Village Health Care Center and went on to work at several area long term care facilities, including the former Schoenbrunn Healthcare, Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation, and Community Hospice Truman House. Crystal was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and daughter who found great delight in the time she spent with her family – especially her grandchildren. She also loved her faithful canine companion, Lucy. She and her family attended Newport Methodist Church in Uhrichsville.

On March 7, 1992, Crystal married Terry Lynn Smith who survives her at their home. She is also survived by their children, Ashley K. (Mark) Smith-Springs and Dustin D. (Gabrielle) Smith; grandchildren, Kenzleigh Spring, Isabelle Clegg, Ryker Smith, and Hudson Smith; her brothers, Brian (Shelly) Burdette and David (Lori) Burdette, Jr.; nephew, Bud (Heather) Burdette; and a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as many dear friends.

In keeping with Crystal’s wishes, Pastor Kory Rowland will officiate a private, family graveside service will be held in Dutch Valley Cemetery near Uhrichsville.
