Crystal F. Pennell

Crystal Faye Pennell, 54, of Newark, formerly of Uhrichsville, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, after a brave battle with cancer. Born January 25, 1968 in Dennison, she was a daughter of Sandra Kay (Veigel) Cox and the late Clifford William Cox. Crystal grew up in the Twin City area and attended Claymont Schools.

On June 19, 1999, Crystal married Bobbie L. Pennell who survives her along with their children, Heather (Andrew) Moss and Jamie Pennell, and granddaughter, Bailey Pennell. Crystal loved being “Mimi” to her granddaughter whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by her mother, Sandra, and a sister, Theresa (Vernon) Jones, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, Clifford, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ted Tedrow, and her parents-in-law, Dale and Barbara Myers. Crystal treasured the time that she spent with her beloved family, loved spending time in the garage with Bob – working side by side on cars, and enjoyed taking care of her flowers.

According to Crystal’s wishes, cremation is planned. Her family plans a celebration of her life for a future date, and this website will be updated when details are confirmed. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
