Cristie Armstrong

Mary Christina “Cristie” Armstrong, 67, of Dennison passed away on August 13, 2017 at Aultman Hospital following a sudden illness. Born May 22, 1950 she was the daughter of the late Chester H. “Checkers” and Mary (Gatchell) Lint. She is also preceded in death by her husband, with whom she married on August 7, 1968, Richard Eugene “Dick” Armstrong, who passed away on May 7, 2009 and her favorite cat, Butterscotch.

Cristie was a 1968 graduate of Claymont High School and had attended Kent State University Tuscarawas Campus. Cristie was the secretary for The Romig Insurance Agency for over 44 years where she was a fixture and practically the face of the agency. She enjoyed crafts and cooking for her family and friends. Her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family, most of all, with her grandsons. Cristie was a member of Uhrichsville First Moravian Church.

Surviving Cristie is her daughter, Molly (Jeff) Olson; grandsons, Spencer, Zack and Logan Olson; and many sweet, dear, friends.

Services for Cristie, officiated by Rev. William Rinderknect and Pastor Jimmy Stull will be held at 11 am on Saturday in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7pm on Friday. Interment will be in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to a charity of choice.
