Cory Allen McKain

February 23, 1989 — January 15, 2026

Uhrichsville, Ohio

Cory Allen McKain, 36, of Riverside, near Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Born February 23, 1989 in Dover, Ohio, he was a son of Anthony D. and Marcy L. (Kennison) McKain of Vienna, West Virginia.

Cory enjoyed fishing, his building projects, and woodworking. He loved being in the garage, tinkering with cars and motorcycles. He especially enjoyed sitting around a fire while spending time with his parents, family, and friends. He loved cooking on the grill – as he would often say he was “the pitmaster”. Cory loved going to the lake with his “puppers”, Juno, playing fetch with sticks. He always lived life to the fullest and made friends wherever he went. He had a special bond with his mom and loved her home-cooked meals. He always came home with an appetite! His mom loves him endlessly, and he was her best friend.

Cory attended Conotton Valley High School, and after graduation he went on to get his certification from The Ohio State University in hydraulics and later earned an associate degree in accounting from Phoenix University. While living in the Uhrichsville area, Cory enjoyed attending Bethel Worship Center in Uhrichsville.

In addition to his parents, Cory leaves behind three wonderful children, Nicholas (Payton Lillie) Albright, and Olivia and Kassidy McKain; special friend and mother of his children, Jessica Albright; his grandchildren, Vivienne McKain-Henderson and Noah Hutzel; his siblings, Tyler McKain and Toni McKain; and nieces and nephew, Emmalynn, Kloe, Abby, and Grayson. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Ron and Virginia “Ginny” Bevan, Walter Kennison, and Jim and Penelope “Penny” McKain; close friend, Adam Stevenson; and a host of other friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rosemary Kennison.

Pastor John Stevenson will officiate a 7:00 p.m. funeral on Wednesday, January 21, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where his family will receive callers from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring his memory may be made to his family to help defray the cost of his final expenses. His family plan to hold a celebration of his life on a future date, and this website will be updated when details are confirmed.
