Cory Robert Cox

Cory Robert Cox, 34, of Dennison, passed away on Saturday, January 21, at Aultman Hospital. Born October 20, 1982 in Dennison, he was a son of Larry Robert Cox, II and Susan Marie (Jones) Cox of Dennison. Cory is also survived by his children, Chloey, Ashton and Carson Cox; maternal grandmother, the light of his life, Geraldine “Nonie” Jones; paternal grandparents, Patricia Cox and Larry Cox; maternal great-grandmother, Donna Jones; many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly; his former spouse, Jessica Cox; and a very special friend and mother of his daughter, Rose Coen. He was preceded in death by his beloved “Pap”, maternal grandfather, Gary Jones, with whom he was especially close.

Cory was a 2001 graduate of Claymont High School who had lived in the Twin City area throughout his life. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed playing baseball.

Services, officiated by Pastor Roger Deardorff, will be held at 1pm on Friday, January 27, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where visitation will be held for two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Lifebanc and the American Kidney Foundation.
