Charles Stanley Wauthier

Charles Stanley Wauthier, Sr., 93, of Uhrichsville passed away at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia on March 9, 2018 following a period of age related declining health. Born August 20, 1924 in Cuddy, Pennsylvania he was a son of the late Oscar and Agnes (Sell) Wauthier.

Charles attended Hicory Schools in Pennsylvania before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy. He worked for the Pennsylvania and Western Railroad for 31 years before retiring. Charles enjoyed working on small engines and loved all things about trains. He attended Grace Baptist Church.

Surviving is his wife, Sarah Mae Wauthier whom he married on July 22, 1989; sons, Charles “Chuck” (Pam) Wauthier, Jr. and Barry (Ginnie) Wauthier; step-sons, Alvin Crisman and Dale (Sarah) Crisman; four grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

In keeping with his wishes he has been cremated. Inurnment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Pennsylvania.
