Charles William Voshall, known by all as “Bill”, passed away at the age of 80 on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital in Dover, after a sudden illness. Born January 14, 1944 in Midvale, he was a son of the late Elmer Louis and Ruth Corine (Wells) Voshall.
A local resident for most of his life – with the exception of ten years while he lived in Columbus, working for C & O Railroad, Bill was a machinist who worked for various local machine shops, including Hall Machine in Carrollton where he was employed for 25 years. He loved boating, fishing, and trapping whenever he could find the time.
Bill will be deeply missed by his surviving family which includes his sons, Charles (Lisa) Voshall and Mike (companion, Robin Senneville) Voshall; daughter, Laura (companion, Mark Kovach) Voshall; grandchildren, Joseph (companion, Christina Beatty) Davis, Clay Davis, and Morgan (Zeb) Fisher; great-grandchildren, Reese, Maddex, and Jaxson Davis and Tucker Fisher; sisters, Sandy and Patty Voshall; his former spouse, Dorothy E. Voshall; a number of nieces and nephews; and his Shih Tzu, Georgie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry and Jimmy; sisters, Joan, Shirley, and Betty; and his beloved Golden Retrievers, Kippie and Moose.
According to Bill’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public visitation. His family will celebrate his life privately on a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Tuscarawas County Humane Society, 1432 Tall Timber Rd. N.E., New Philadelphia, OH 44663.
