Charles R. "Chuck" Beckley

Charles Robert “Chuck” Beckley, 72, formerly of Dennison, passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015, at Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville after a period of declining health. Born August 2, 1943 in Freeport, he was a son of the late Lewis Edward and Loda Mae (Gatchell) Beckley.

Chuck was a 1961 graduate of Freeport High School and a resident of the Twin City area for much of his life. He worked for several area businesses throughout his career, including the former Warner and Swasey, Fuel Mart, the J-n-G Grill, and the Red Onion, as well many years as a custodian for Claymont Schools.

On September 20, 1962, Chuck married the former Carol Sue McGill and enjoyed over 47 years of marriage with her until her passing on February 8, 2010. They are survived by 4 sons, Mark (Deborah) Beckley, Danny Beckley, Timothy Beckley, and John (Kimberly) Beckley; a son-in-law, Douglas Albright; grandchildren, Derek (Kelly), Anthony (Melissa), Alex (Raelin), Ashley (Hunter), Shawn, Brittany, Steven (Brandi), Christine (Billy), Courtney and Tyler; and great-grandchildren, Hunter, Brock, Rebekah, Junior, Dayved, Ava, and Meleah. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rebekah Albright.

Services, officiated by Pastor George Reichman, will be held at 11am on Monday, October 12, 2015, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside his beloved wife in Conotton Cemetery. Visitation is 2-5pm on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Movers & Shakers Against Parkinson of Tuscarawas County, c/o Wells Fargo Advisors, 250 2nd St. N.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663, in lieu of flowers.
