Charles C. Potts, 86, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017, at Union Hospital in Dover, after a lengthy illness. Born July 15, 1931 in Dillsboro, NC, he was a son of the late William Wilkes and Julie Bell (Messer) Potts. He was also preceded in death by brothers, J. Robert Potts, Bobby Earl Potts, R. Joe Potts and Ralph Potts; and sisters, Ruth Potts and Mary Charping.
  
  
  Charles was a Twin City resident since 1965 who attended Bethel Worship Center in Uhrichsville. He was a heavy equipment operator for Beaver Excavating for many years, until his retirement, and had also been the owner and operator of C.C. Potts Tree Service.
  
  
  His surviving family includes his daughters, Carolyn McIntyre and her husband, Bill, and Tammy Potts; grandchildren, Lori McIntyre, Victoria McIntyre, Nathan McIntyre, Tessa Cleveland and her husband, Tony, and Tosha Hackney; great-grandchildren, Alisha McIntyre, Dale Doughty, Brooke McIntyre, Brannon Simmons, Mikayla McIntyre, Hunter McIntyre and Wynter Young; great-great-grandchildren, Adryian Reynolds, Brysen Doughty and Addyson Reynolds; sister, Helen Bonds; brothers, Jay Lee Potts and his wife, Dorothy, and Kenneth Potts; and many nieces and nephews.
  
  
  In keeping with his wishes, Charles will be cremated without a public visitation or service. He will then return to North Carolina for burial with his family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Worship Center and Community Hospice.
