A forty-six year member of the Dennison Eagles, Charles was also a member of the Dennison American Italian Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who were the light of his life, and visiting and playing cards with friends.

On December 12, 1953, Charles married the former Jo Ann Baker with whom he enjoyed nearly forty-four years of marriage until her passing on September 29, 1997. They are survived by two sons, Thomas (Elaine) Donohoe of Northville, Michigan and Mark (Sherry) Donohoe of Uhrichsville; a daughter, Julie (Dwain) Donohoe-Culp of Pataskala, Ohio; grandchildren, Andrew (Erin) Donohoe of Mason, Ohio, Christen (Andrew) Mahoney of Beachwood, Ohio and Natalie Culp of Pataskala; and a great-granddaughter, Maya Donohoe of Mason. Charles is also survived by his brothers, Thomas Donohoe , Paul “Lumpy” (Mary Kae) Donohoe and Robert (Joyce) Donohoe all of Uhrichsville; a sister, Margie Zanon of Uhrichsville; a sister-in-law, Vivian Donohoe of New Philadelphia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of dear friends, neighbors and extended family members. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and George Gross; brothers, James and Matthew Donohoe; brother-in-law, Henry Zanon; and sister-in-law, Ruby Donohoe.
