Catherine J. Haas

January 2, 1934 — April 14, 2023

Catherine Jane Haas, 89, of Uhrichsville, was reunited with her loved ones who had gone before when she was called to her Father’s House on Friday, April 14, 2023 from Claymont Health and Rehabilitation in Uhrichsville. Born January 2, 1934 in Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of Albert C. and Lulu C. (Greenwood) Lester who were there to greet her when she arrived in Heaven.

Catherine was also welcomed to heaven by her beloved husband, Robert Eugene Haas, to whom she was wed on February 6, 1952, enjoying over 70 years of loving marriage with him until he was called Home on November 1, 2022. They were blessed with four children, Alvin Eugene (Robin) Haas, Daniel Albert (Jannette) Haas, and Kathy Jean (Charles) Morain who survive them and Robert E. Haas, Jr. who went to heaven in infancy. Many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren survive them, as well. Catherine is also survived by her sisters, Joe Ann McCue and Alberta “Bertie” Andregg; sister-in-law, Jane Lester; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, husband, and infant son, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sister-in-law, Herb and Sarah Lester, Charles Lester and Alvin Lester; sister, Evelyn Decker; brothers-in-law, Larry McCue and Paul Andregg; and several infant siblings.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Catherine will be remembered for her devotion to her family. Throughout her life, she cherished the time that she spent caring for them and enjoying their company. She attended many churches over the years as she walked along side her husband in his ministry and had, most recently, been a member of 11 th Street Church of God in Uhrichsville since 2011. She was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord and looked forward to the day that she would see him face to face.

According to Catherines’ wishes, Pastor Earl Miller will officiate a 1:00 p.m. memorial service on Wednesday, April 26, at the R. K.
