Carrol A. Snyder

June 9, 1954 — September 17, 2013

Carrol A. Snyder, 59, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Union Hospital in Dover, after a lengthy illness. Born June 9, 1954 in Akron, she was a daughter of the late James Allen and Anna Marie (Gifford) Howard.

A resident of Uhrichsville for the past seven years, Carrol had previously lived in the Cuyahoga Falls area for many years. Until her health prevented her, she was a State Tested Nurses’ Aide who provided home health care to many people in addition to being a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker. In her spare time, she loved playing Bingo and fishing, as well as adding to her extensive collection of angels. Spending time with her grandchildren meant more to her than anything else, and they will cherish the memories of the happy times that they spent with her.

Carrol is survived by four children, Renee Snyder of Altoona, Pa., James Snyder of Uhrichsville, Joni Snyder of Altoona, Pa., and Ryan (Shandi) Snyder of Bellefonte, Pa.; twelve grandchildren, Emily, Clifton, Logan, twins – Jaelynn and Makayla, Ian, Hannah, Zoey, Piper, Isaiah, Brody, and Bella; two sisters, Peggy (Don) Frashuer and Ruth Oliver of North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and her former spouse, James L. Snyder of Altoona, Pa. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Anna; her twin sister, Cathy; and a granddaughter, Kaitlynn.

Services for Carrol, officiated by Pastor Brian Flood, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Those wishing to honor Carrol’s memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to the charity of their choice.
