Carole Parrish

Carole Parrish, 66, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away at her home with her loving family at her side on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, after a bravely fought battle with cancer. Born October 9, 1960 in Lyon, France, she was a daughter of the late Larry Wayne and Madeleine Elaine (Baud) Mathias. She came to the United States at the age of 2 with her family and had been a Twin City resident throughout most of her life.

Many will remember Carole from her 22-year career at the New Philadelphia WalMart where she had worked in the sporting goods department for many years. As an outdoor enthusiast who especially enjoyed fishing and gun sports, she was a natural fit for the department. She spent many happy days at the lake – swimming and rock collecting with her daughter and grandchildren. She also loved music, especially local live music at festivals and holiday celebrations. Most of all, Carole treasured her family and the time she spent with them.

She leaves behind her daughter, Brittany (fiancé, Keith Carpenter Jr.) Parrish, and grandchildren, Aiden, Aaron, and Madeleine “Maddi”, around whom her whole world revolved. They will miss her deeply, but carry countless treasured memories of their time with her to enjoy throughout the rest of their lives. Carole’s surviving family is completed by her brother, Philippe Baud; sisters, Rebecca (Roy) Caldwell and Diane Mehok; and many loved nieces and nephews. Carole will also be missed by her “Walmart family” whose friendship she enjoyed throughout her career.

According to Carole’s wishes, no public visitation or service is planned. She will be interred beside her mother in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions honoring Carole’s memory may be made to the American Lung Association, 5755 Granger Rd., Ste. 905, Independence, OH 44131.
