Carol M. Seevers

September 26, 1937 — March 24, 2020

Carol Marie Seevers, 82, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at the Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia. Born September 26, 1937 in Mill Twp., Tuscarawas County, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Delmar Timothy and Frances Viola (Hutmire) Davis.

After her 1956 graduation from Uhrichsville High School, Carol attended business school. She was employed by the former Morning View Care Center (now Schoenbrunn Healthcare) in New Philadelphia for 31 years, in addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville and a member of the Twin City Senior Center where she had fun playing chair volleyball. She enjoyed spending time with her friends in her card clubs, was an avid reader, and collected teddy bears.

On May 9, 1963, Carol married Alton Leroy “Clem” Seevers, with whom she enjoyed nearly 35 years of marriage until his passing on March 30, 1998. They are survived by their son, Delmar (Virginia) Severs with whom she had resided; grandson, Perry Michael (companion, Jenna Pringle) Seevers; and great-grandchildren, Jared, Ean, Toryonna and Jessica Seevers. Carol is also survived by her sister, Delores “Cookie” Lindenbaum; dear cousin and cohort, Myra Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Stull, as well as her parents and husband.

In the interest of public health, a private, family service is planned. She will be interred beside her beloved husband in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
