Bruce A. Basiletti, 43, of Dennison, O., passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, March 24, 2009.

Born November 12, 1965 in Dennison, Bruce was a son of Clarence E. and Maxine L. (Kopp) Basiletti of New Philadelphia.

Bruce was a lifelong resident of the area and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Dennison. He had worked for a number of area restaurants over the years as a cook and kitchen manager.

On February 7, 1991, Bruce married the former Kristen M. Ricklic who survives him. They have one son, Rocco Emmanuel Basiletti of the home, who was the light of Bruce’s life. More than anything else, Bruce loved to spend time with his son and proudly supported all of his academic and athletic pursuits.

Bruce is also survived by two brothers, Brian Basiletti and his wife, Cindy, of New Philadelphia and Brent Basiletti of Clinton; two sisters, Melanie Byers and her husband, Marvin, of New Philadelphia and Margie Onslow and her husband, Ron, of Stonecreek; two brothers-in-law, Tim Ricklic of New Philadelphia and Eric Ricklic of Texas; his mother-in-law, Norma Ricklic; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father-in-law, Leonard Ricklic.

Bruce enjoyed playing golf and basketball, as well as computer and video games. He was also a fan of NASCAR and loved watching various sports.

Services for Bruce, officiated by Father Martin J. Ralko, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 30, in Immaculate Conception Church at Dennison. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. No visitation is planned.

Immediately following his burial, Bruce’s family and friends will gather at the Dennison Knights of Columbus Hall for a time of fellowship and remembrance with light refreshments served.

Those wishing to honor Bruce’s memory are encouraged, in lieu of flowers, to make memorial donations to his family to help support his son’s college education which was Bruce’s long cherished dream.
