Browny Vosick

Browny Vosick, 95, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from Park Village Southside in New Philadelphia, Ohio, while surrounded by his loving family. Born November 19, 1929 in Mill Twp., Tuscarawas Co., near Uhrichsville, he was the last surviving child of the late Brawnislaw “Brownie” Vosick and Mary (Suidak) Biclawski Vosick.

On September 11, 1948, he married the former Hazel Louise “Pat” (Keffer) Vosick who passed away on October 13, 2009. Together, they were blessed with 61 years of marriage and a large, loving family which includes their four children, Gary (Sandra) Vosick who survives and Jeffrey “Dale” Vosick, Brownie Edward Vosick, and Georgia “Sis” Neilson who preceded him in death; grandchildren, Doug Neilson, Hallie Neilson, Alison (Cameron) Wilbur, Jade (John) Durham, Louis Vosick, Jordan (Ashley) Vosick, Molly (Shane) Stine, Megan (Kevin) O’Dell, Whitney Vosick, and Andrew (Lucy) Vosick who survive, and Sabrina Vosick and Casey Neilson who preceded him in death; 22 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, parents, and granddaughter, Browny was preceded in death by his siblings, Stanley, John, and Joe Vosick, Bill, Mike, and Charles Biclawski, Josephine Shadicker, Virginia Rainsberg, and Viola Barnes.

A lifelong area resident, Browny had a long career as a kilnman at Belden Brick. In his younger years, he enjoyed fishing and continued to play golf throughout his life. He was a man of deep faith who was a longtime member of Bethel Worship Center in Uhrichsville where he had served the Lord as an Elder in the church. He will be deeply missed by his church family. Browny loved spending time with his family and church and will be remembered for his humor and the witty phrases he often used.

Pastor John Stevenson will officiate a 1:00 p.m. funeral on Friday, February 14, 2025 at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison, Ohio. Interment will follow beside his beloved wife in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Friday, prior to the service.
