Beverly Marie Lemonte

Beverly Marie LeMonte, 66, of Dennison, O., passed away while surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Hennis Care Center in Dover, O., following an illness of two months.

Born May 3, 1943 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late Edward Lewis and Armelda Josephine (Zobel) Riley.

Beverly was a lifelong resident of the Twin City area who had attended Dennison High School. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who treasured the time that she spent with her family. She was also an avid sports fan who loved cheering for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns and Indians.

On January 27, 1961, Beverly married Robert Edward LeMonte who preceded her in death on December 5, 2000. They are survived by four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Marianne) Collins of Dennison, Mrs. Bruce (Penny Rae) Geltz of East Sparta, Mrs. Todd (Josephine) Armstrong of Dennison and Mrs. Conrad (Jennifer) Sommers of Dover; two sons, Robert Marshall LeMonte and his companion, Mary, of Dennison and Dennis Patrick LeMonte and his wife, Shelly, of Tuscarawas; ten grandchildren, Todd Armstrong and his wife, Angie, Curt Armstrong, Kenneth and James Milburn, Mrs. Matt (Elise) Sickels, Jennifer Brown, Gage, Rachel and Bailey Sommers, and Steven LeMonte; and two great grandchildren, Todd Jr. and Cameron Armstrong.

Beverly is also survived by two sisters, Grace Jenkins of Bowerston and Mrs. Ray (Denise) Watkins of Sugarcreek, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Trudy Smith; a brother, Kenneth Riley; and a brother-in-law, Clyde Dale Jenkins.

According to Beverly’s wishes, she has been cremated without a public visitation. The public is welcome to join her family for a graveside service that will be held at noon on Saturday, September 26, in Tunnel Hill Cemetery near Bowerston, O. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Hospice of Tuscarawas County.
