Beverly Jean Hoover

March 7, 1940 — November 17, 2018

Beverly Jean Hoover, 78, of New Philadelphia passed away on November 17, 2018 at Union Hospital following a period of declining health. Born March 7, 1940 she was a daughter of the late Louis Eugene Ridgway and Agnes Viola (Parker) Ridgway.

Beverly graduated from Dennison High School in 1959 and continued to be active in the Dennison Alumni and was also a member of the Dennison Eagles. In her early years she worked as a waitress, and then up until her retirement she worked at the Bradford Group Homes where she shared her love unconditionally each day. Her greatest passion was giving to others, with the reward being the smiles on their faces. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and her greatest joy was her grandchildren.

Her surviving family includes her children, George (Pippa) Milburn, Jr., Karen Tinney, Sharon (Parrish) Kohler, and Brett Milburn; siblings, Debbie (John) Meyer and Rick (Marlene) Ridgway; grandchildren, Sean (Heather) Mahaffey, Tianna Mahaffey, Katelyn (Preston) Smith, Audrey Milburn, Tyler Daft, Nicole Tinney, Seth Greenwalt, Nikki (Dustin) Martyn, and Zach Kohler; nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Beverly’s wishes she has been cremated. Memorial donation may be made to the Dennison Alumni Association.
