Beulah Irene Henry

Beulah Irene Henry, 91, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Country Club Retirement Campus in Dover. Born February 17, 1925 in Calais, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Harriett (Leach) Carpenter.

Beulah was a lifelong resident of the Twin City area and a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church in Uhrichsville. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her surviving family which includes her children, Gary (Holly) Henry and Dixie Malter; grandchildren, Christina (Floyd), Tanya (Tom), Nick, Cassandra (Johnny), Colton, Cheyenne and Dakota; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Devin, Branden, Taylor, Tiarra, Tommi and Fiona; siblings, Tom (Donna) Carpenter, Denny (Marvella) Carpenter, Wilma (Robert) Briggs, and Linda Carpenter; and many nieces and nephews.

On December 18, 1947, she married Arthur S. Henry, Jr. with whom she enjoyed over 33 years of marriage until his passing on March 22, 1981. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Dan Malter; and siblings, Jake, Leonard, William and Clayton Carpenter, and Wanda Miller.

Services, officiated by Rev. Larry Malterer, will be held at 1pm on Monday, June 20, 2016, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison with visitation for two hours prior to the funeral. Interment will be in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery beside her beloved husband. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace United Methodist Church.
