Betty D. Hill

Betty D. Hill, 74, of Dennison, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Beacon Pointe Rehabilitation Center in Uhrichsville. Born September 16, 1941 in Port Washington, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Henry and Mary Dorothy (Johnson) Ferrell. A 1959 graduate of Port Washington High School, Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who had also worked at Flex Technology in Midvale.

On October 3, 1961, she married Leroy V. Hill with whom she enjoyed nearly 46 years of marriage until his passing on September 13, 2007. She is survived by a son, Jeff (Nan) Hill; daughter, Kelly (Todd) Boswell; stepchildren, Elaine (Bill) Lambeth, Paulette DeVaul, Chris (Jane) Hill, and Jack Hill; grandchildren, Meghan Boswell, Christian Boswell, Adeline Hill, and Kaylie Hill; 4 great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; brother, Donald (Joan) Ferrell; several nieces and nephews; and a dear family friend, Mara Parker. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Don Urban, and lifelong best friend, Carol Pounds.

In keeping with Betty’s wishes, she will cremated without a public visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Dennison Church of God.
