She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family and home, especially working outside with her flowers.

Betty is also survived by her sister, Mary (Tom) Demuth, and a number of nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her dear lap dog, Bandi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Nelson.
According to Betty’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663. Her family wish to express their deep gratitude to the entire Community Hospice organization as every single staff person they encountered – from doctors, nurses and aides, to support staff, to administrative personnel – provided excellent care for Betty, making her last days easier for her and for her family.
