Beth Ellen Moreland

Beth Ellen Moreland, 55, of Dennison, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2013 at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia after a lengthy battle with cancer. Born June 17, 1958 in Dennison, she was a daughter of Lois Ann (Williams) Link of Uhrichsville and the late Tom Eugene Link.

In addition to her mother, Beth is survived by a son, Randy Moreland of Gnadenhutten; daughter, Becky Moreland of Midvale; grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Alexis, Briyanna and Christopher with another expected; brother, Doug (Kim) Link of Uhrichsville; her longtime companion, Lewis Segee of the home, who was the rock upon which she leaned; uncles and aunts, Ed Link of Dover, Burt and Karen Link of Dellroy, Joe and Sandy Link of Tuscarawas, Bob and Trudy (Link) Sensel of Sherrodsville, Violet Green of Uhrichsville, and Judy Williams of Uhrichsville; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her former spouse, Randy E. Moreland of Leesville. She was preceded in death by her sister, Christina Hamilton, as well as her father.

Beth was a 1977 graduate of Conotton Valley and a lifelong resident of the area. She was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter and sister who loved caring for her family and her home. She was an avid gardener, loved crafting, and enjoyed listening to country music. Above all else, she loved spending time with her grandchildren who were a great joy to her. She attended Feed Spring Church near Uhrichsville.

Services for Beth, officiated by Pastor Milo Baker, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow at the Link’s private cemetery on the family farm. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
