Barbara Meredith

Barbara Ann Meredith, 75, of Dennison, O., passed away peacefully at her home while surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, September 30, 2010.

Born January 22, 1935 in New Philadelphia, O., she was a daughter of the late Luke A. and Louise (Kruse) Meechan.

Barb was a lifelong resident of Dennison and Gnadenhutten, and was a longtime member of Immaculate Conception Church and its Altar Society. She was a 1952 graduate of St. Mary’s High School.

A devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker, Barb was married in May of 1956 to Lorin E. Kinsey who preceded her in death in August of 1964. They are survived by a daughter, Deborah M. Bonanno and her husband, William, of Uhrichsville; a son, Lorin E. Kinsey and his wife, Laurie, of Gnadenhutten; and two grandchildren, Broc Kinsey and William Bonanno. Barb is also survived by a sister, Judy Henry and her husband, Earl, of Uhrichsville, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and first husband, Barb was also preceded in death by her second husband, Robert L. Meredith; two sons, Duane E. and Dean Patrick Kinsey; three sisters, Helen Creager, Evelyn Storrie, and Margaret Altier; and three brothers, Thomas, Luke, and Dan Meechan.

Barb always put her family ahead of everything else in her life and will be fondly remembered for her loving care, delicious home-cooked meals and wonderful baked goods. She also enjoyed reading in her spare time.

Services for Barb, officiated by Father Anthony Lonzo, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 5 in Immaculate Conception Church at Dennison. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Dennison. A reception will be held in the Dennison Knights of Columbus Hall immediately following cemetery services.
