Barbara Sue Kauffman

Barbara Sue Kauffman, 64, of Dennison, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Aultman Hospital in Canton. Born July 21, 1950 in Dennison, she was a daughter of the late James Eugene “Peanut” and Lulu Belle (Brown) Cottrell.

On January 18, 1969, Barb married Arthur A. “Butch” Kauffman with whom she enjoyed over 46 years of marriage. She is also survived by their sons, Chris (Danielle) Kauffman and Eric “My Matt” Kauffman; grandchildren, Tyler (companion, Devin Edwards) Kauffman and Tori Brindley; siblings, Ray (Sally) Cottrell, Virginia Edwards, and James “Pete” (Debbie) Cottrell; numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Darla Cox; and a dear friend, Kick Ezzi. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Pammy Kauffman; sisters, Edna Howell, Audrey Legge, Emma Lou Blackford, and Mary Ann Yoder; and brothers, Robert, Ralph, and Joseph Cottrell.

Barb will be remembered for her delicious cooking and intense work ethic, having worked for The Dennison Yard and Pangrazio’s in Dennison for a combined 35 years. She truly loved her job and worked hard for as long as her health would allow.

Services for Barb, officiated by Pastor John Stevenson, will be held at 10am on Saturday, June 27, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved daughter in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8pm on Friday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
