Barbara L. Green

Barbara Lou Green, 67, of Leesville, Ohio, passed away while surrounded by her loving family on September 1, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio. Born December 1, 1955 in Braxton Co., West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Beatrice O. Cottrell.

On April 14, 1987, Barb married Larry Allen Green who survives her. She will also be deeply missed by their children, Mason (Cheyenne) Green, Beth Green, Jason (Lichelle) Green, and Jeannie (Stephen) Johnson; grandchildren, Abigail, Madison, Jaylin, Deanna, Destiny, and Maranda; and great-grandchildren, Lilium, Piper, Kameron, Delilah, and three more great-granddaughters who are expected this year. One of seven children, Barb is survived by two of her sisters, Carol Burns and Teresa (Red) Good, and also many nieces and nephews, as well as her special aunt and uncle, Dude and Rich. She was preceded in death by a brother and 3 sisters.

A local resident for 50 years, Barb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker who was deeply devoted to her family and dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had been a safety monitor for the local pipeline industry, as a member of the local pipefitters union. She also owned her own cleaning business and provided cleaning services to Northeastern Basketball Camp for over 20 years.

According to her wishes, cremation is planned. Her family will celebrate her life by cherishing their memories of her for the rest of their lives. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
