Barbara Ann Eickleberry, 86, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Claymont Health and Rehabilitation in Uhrichsville, after a brief period of declining health. Born July 2, 1940 in Dennison, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Francis Robert “Frank” and Sophia Elizabeth (née McCluskey) Golec.
Barbara grew up in the Twin City area and was a 1958 graduate of Dennison High School. She then worked at the former Scio Pottery for several years before devoting herself to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. She had attended Park Christian Church in Dennison for many years. In 1992, Barbara moved to South Carolina where she resided for several decades before returning to Ohio. While there, she worked at Walmart for 18 years and had been a member of the Woodruff Road Christian Church.
On November 4, 1961, Barbara married Donald Clinton Eickleberry with whom she enjoyed nearly thirty years of loving marriage until his passing on October 21, 1991. They were blessed with two daughters, Beth (Steve) Wiltberger and Jody (Randy) Rutter; four grandchildren, Chris (Kelsey) Rutter, Nate (Ally) Rutter, Drew Wiltberger, and Abbey Wiltberger; and two great-grandchildren, Knox and Charlie Rutter. Barbara dearly loved her family and especially enjoyed lavishing her attention and affection on her grandchildren.
She is also survived by her siblings, Don (Janet) Golec, Roy (Sharon) Golec, Rose (Steve) Wanosik, and Karen Golec; sisters-in-law, Sandy Golec and Debby Golec; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Jim Golec; her brother-in-law, Ernie Jamerson, Sr.; and two nephews, Todd Golec and Ernie Jamerson, Jr.
Pastor Dave Bryan will officiate a 3:00 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, September 5, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Barbara’s family will receive callers from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., prior to the service.
