Barbara S. Draher

January 28, 1946 — June 1, 2026

Uhrichsville, Ohio

Barbara Sue Draher, 80, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, passed away at her home in the midst of her loving family on Monday, June 1, 2026, after a lengthy illness. Born January 28, 1946 in Dennison, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Homer August and Verna Mae (née Dickinson) Veigel.

Barb lived in the Twin City area throughout her life and was a 1964 graduate of Dennison High School before marrying the love of her life, Alvin Leroy “Butch” Draher on May 23, 1964. They spent 58 years of loving marriage until his passing on July 6, 2022 and are survived by three children, Bob (Valarie) Draher, Melissa “Missy” (Mike) Brooks, and Tim (Lori Bethel) Draher; grandchildren, Donna Cox, Brian (Brittany) Draher, Kayla Draher, Chris Farrell, Wayne Garabrandt, Kyle (companion, Breanna Bundy) Garabrandt, and T. J. (Kayla) Draher; and numerous great-grandchildren. Barb is also survived by her siblings, John (Betty) Veigel and Sandi Cox, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Veigel.

Barb was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family was always the center of her world. She truly treasured the memories they made together on their many family camping trips over the years, and she loved supporting her children and grandchildren in all of their activities. She also loved the many dogs that were part of her family over the years. In her younger days, she was an avid bowler, and she loved going for long walks – especially on sunny days – her entire life. Barb was also a NASCAR fan. She had been a beautician for a number of years, but the career she liked best was waitressing, and many will remember her from the Trenton Place Café.

In keeping with Barb’s wishes, cremation is planned without a public viewing. Her family will celebrate her life on a future date, and this website will be updated with details as soon as they are confirmed. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to their favorite charity, in lieu of flowers.
