Arline L. Easterday

Arline L. Easterday, 85, of Uhrichsville, passed away on Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia after a brief illness. Born January 21, 1927 in Uhrichsville, she was a daughter of the late Fred C. and Lena P. (Greenwood) Fairall.

A lifelong resident of Uhrichsville, Arline was a graduate of Uhrichsville High School in the class of 1944. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Arline worked for her family’s business, Fred Fairall Construction, and was employed for many years by Pepsi-Cola until her retirement.

On September 15, 1945, Arline married Thomas Eugene Easterday, Sr. with whom she enjoyed nearly forty-seven years of marriage until his passing on June 9, 1992. They are survived by a son, Thomas E. “Tom” (Linda J.) Easterday, Jr. of Sheffield Village, Ohio; a daughter, Mary L. (Melvin) Davis of Goshen; grandchildren, Jason Easterday of Houston, Valorie (Ryan) Frye of Elyria, Erica (Devin) Edmunds of Naples, Florida and Erin Davis of Cleveland; great-granddaughters, Alivia and Avary Frye and Harper Edmunds; and many nieces and nephews. Arline was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Jeri Lou Easterday; brothers, Eugene and Robert Fairall; and a sister, Geraldine Fairall.

Services, officiated by Rev. Harry Milligan, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 29, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband in Uhrichsville’s Union Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, as well as for an hour prior to the service on Thursday morning.
