April Sue Dryden, 59, of Uhrichsville, Ohio, left this world peacefully on April 20, 2025, from the Ohio’s Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia, Ohio, after a bravely fought battle with cancer. Born April 17, 1966 in Dennison, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Earl David “Dave” and Shirley Ann (Turney) Milligan.
April spent her life as a Twin City resident and attended Claymont Public Schools when she was growing up. In addition to being a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker, she was employed as a longtime manager at the Uhrichsville Certified station before working at New Dawn Retirement Center most recently. April loved spending time with her family and friends – going for neighborhood walks, chilling out with a movie marathon in her comfy slippers, and sharing Oreo pies with her kids. She also loved time spent at the pool, having been a lifeguard, as well as beach trips where she loved collecting shells.
She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Brie (Brady) Riemenschneider; son, Drew Dryden; grandchildren, Carlin and Paxson Riemenschneider; brothers, Earl David “Butch” (Gaye) Milligan, Marvin “Randy” Milligan, Mike (Roberta) Milligan, Shane Milligan, and Jimmy Walker; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeff and Rex Milligan, and her sister, Rhonda Walker, as well as her parents.
According to April’s wishes, she will be cremated before a celebration of her life. Chaplain Colleen Ash will officiate a 12:00 p.m. service on Saturday, April 26, at the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison where her family will receive callers for an hour prior to the service. Those wishing to honor her memory by a charitable contribution are encouraged to do so to Ohio’s Hospice Foundation, 716 Commercial Ave. S.W., New Philadelphia, OH 44663 or the charity of their choice.
