Anthony L. "Tyke" Gipson

Anthony Lee “Tyke” Gipson, 28, of Uhrichsville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 15, 2013 from Trinity Hospital Twin City in Dennison. Born June 23, 1984 in Canton, he was a son of Carl L. Gipson and Pamela S. (Tedrick) Gipson.

A resident of Uhrichsville for much of his life, Tyke was a graduate of Claymont High School in 2002 and had been employed by Wayne-Dalton. In his spare time, he loved to fish and play his guitar. He was Methodist by faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and his greatest joy came from the time that he spent with his daughter who was the light of his life, and with Joe Milburn who was like a father to him.

Tyke is survived by his mother, Pamela S. (companion, Joseph Milburn) Gipson of Uhrichsville; father, Carl L. Gipson of North Canton; daughter, Aubree Lee Gipson of Uhrichsville; brother, William Gipson of Uhrichsville; a close and special friend and mother of his daughter, Richelle Kinsey of Uhrichsville; grandparents, William W. and Shirley Ann Palmer of Dennison and Carl Gipson of North Canton; uncles and aunts, Darren and Peggy McBride of New Mexico, Cody and Patty Romshak of Piedmont, Robert and Linda Aubiel of Dennison, and Ronald Jr. and Sandy Chaffman of North Canton; a niece, Ella Gipson; and many cousins including a special cousin, Preston E. (Michaelann) Tedrick. He was preceded in death by a grandmother, Garnet Gipson; grandfather, William H. Tedrick with whom he had been especially close; and a cousin, Bobby Aubiel.

Services for Tyke, officiated by Rev. Harry Milligan and Rev. Ronald Chaffman, Jr., will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, in the R.K. Lindsey Funeral Home in Dennison. Interment will follow in Greenmont Cemetery in Freeport. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from noon until the service begins on Thursday.
