Annabel Nmi Kilpatrick

December 30, 1916 — August 21, 2008

Annabel Kilpatrick, 91, of Stillwater, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2008 following a period of declining health. Born in Union Township, Carroll County on December 30, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Verna G. (Roof) Albaugh.

A 1934 graduate of Uhrichsville High School, Annabel was a life resident of Stillwater. On May 14, 1936 at Wheeling, Annabel married Jesse C. Kilpatrick who preceded her in death on February 5, 1996 after 54 years of marriage. Together with her husband, Annabel owned and operated Kilpatrick’s General Store at Stillwater for 24 years. Annabel also worked at the Stillwater post office for many years. In addition to being a very active longtime member of the Lima Presbyterian Church, Annabel enjoyed painting, genealogy, gardening and crocheting. Annabel cherished the time she spent with her family, especially the many family vacations they took together.

Annabel’s surviving family include numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, Annabel was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law James E. (Mary Ruth) Albaugh, sisters and brother-in-law Wilda H. (Ted) Peterson and Garnet Brown, and twin sisters Erma and Emma Albaugh.

Services for Annabel, officiated by Rev. Carolyn Behrendt and Rev. Harry Milligan, will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 1:00 pm in the R. K. Lindsey Funeral Home at Dennison. Internment will follow at Dutch Valley Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to call at visitation from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Those wishing to honor Annabel with a memorial contribution may do so to the Lima Presbyterian Church.
